I did a search but apparently this hasn't come up before. I am pretty sure the answer is yes but I'd like to make sure since CAPS says no. I have a 1991 6 bolt that needs a few valves due to the t-belt breaking on the previous owner. I have a chance to buy a complete head from a low mileage 1994 Eclipse for less than a set of aftermarket valves would cost. Obviously this is a 7 bolt motor but a 1G nonetheless. Is the casting of all 1G heads the same (big ports, oil feeds, etc...) the same? I'd like to know before someone else buys this thing out from under me.

should be, you can also get a head from a n/t car you just need to swap the cams and the thing between the cams on the opposite side of head from timing belt.side that the oil feed is on think its 2-3 10mm bolts

Thanks. I actually got some responses over on the Galant board last night. Apparently all 1G heads are the same but the 7 bolt ones have holes for 11mm head bolts and the 6 bolt ones have holes for 12mm ones. I bought the head and worst case I'll take out the drill and open the holes up. Also, the exhaust manifold studs on the ends are 10mm like the 2g ones. Again, nothing a little drilling won't solve.
