Does anybody know if I can put the APEXi World Sport Damper Coilvers on a 2G AWD? I can't seem to get a straight answer from anybody, even APEXi. Any help would be great.

I run them on my car and my buddy up north has them to...but that could be the fact that i sell them to hahahah...take care...

You have a GST, he is asking about his TSi AWD

Yea, I know they'll work on a FWD. I bought the whole set-up brand new in the box for $600. I'm pretty sure they will bolt up and "fit", but I want to know if it will handle good and have the proper springs rates/shock settings for an AWD. The guy at APEXi I talked to said "They should work, I don't see any reason why not." The paperwork in the box says nothing about FWD or AWD, just 95-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G63. I just need to know if anybody is running these and what they think ON AN AWD. Thanks guys!

Apex'i WorldSport stuff is typically designed for the daily driver in mind. I'd guess that those coilovers will have VERY stock-like attributes in terms of comfort, spring rates, et cetera. While obviously affording some benefit in a track-like setup for the lower center of gravity alone, I doubt you'll see 'night and day' improvements in handling capability.

Those coilovers are made as a cheap way to get your car lowered with decent quality gear. :)

(just my two cents from what I've read)

That sounds about right (from what I've read). But no doubt APEXi makes some great stuff. I hope they'll work out OK. I guess the only way to really find out is to put them on and see how they feel.

So you are saying they are crap compared to other coilover options?

They are pretty much like a Tein basic coil over...which is like 800 bucks are so..they are not a bad coil overs just a nice coil over for the street...

so. . . . . . they have slightly more bling than shocks and lowering springs since they are "coilovers", but not close in terms of performance to better performing coilovers?? Would your recommend them to a person who drives the hell out of their car on the street?

Its a nice setup but depends on what u like..i wanted something that has a nice ride and do a little canyon racing for fun they yeah they are cool..but if you are hardcore i say save ur money and get something like JIC or flex etc etc..

Not trying to hijack this thread, but this sounds like a good setup for my needs. Where can I pick these up cheaply?

Actually, there is a killer deal on Ebay for those right now. But buyer beware, as always.

Im the one selling them on ebay...if you want a set let me know my shop can take credit card or paypal its up to you..Pm me with info
