okay i have looked around and searched about this but havent come up with the answers to my questions so i am going to try this thread out.. please dont anyone get mad.. i have continuously had hopes of making my car faster and so far pretty much all of them besides the basics (cai, header, exhaust, etc..) have been shot out of the water after deeper research. i was browsing this website when i came up on both the A'PEXi Super V-AFC II and the GReddy e-Manage. first of all, my car is a 97 n/t eclipse gs so i was wondering if the A'PEXi Super V-AFC II would even work or do anything for a non turbo? secondly, do these actually work? and what is required in the installation of these? i mean are they just plug in or what? sorry these questions i know sound stupid, but all i have found so far is the very basic summary of what these do. and please dont get me more confused about this than when i started as most threads i read up on do. there is always the guy for it, and the guy who says its crap. thanx for any input

I dont think you would want to buy the V AFC. It is a V-TEC AFC for Hondas. As far as which one work well with your car Im not sure. I have never dealt with a NT.

Well it depends on your mods and future mods and what you plan on using it for. Yes it helps but only to an extent. It won't do the things that dsmlink or any standalone will do, but for basic tuning it's probably the best way to go. And yes you do want a S-AFC not a V-AFC. Unless you have a B-series swap on your N/A DSM a V-AFC will do nothing for you. For more info on the S-AFC i'm sure there are plenty of links explaining it in more detail. Just do a search.

The S-AFC is for modifing signals going to the ecu tricking it so that you can do some tuning, like compensating for larger injectors etc. If you have not changed anything then gains are going to be minimal, but it will give you the ability to tune the car shoud you change anything in the future. If you already have the cai and header you might see a little gaing by tuning the A/F ratio a little bit. Good luck.
