anyone with this carbon fiber hood?

i have been looking to get a Cf hood for awhile now and I have not found anything to my liking. most hoods out there are too extreme and if i wanted an evo hood i would have bought an evo in the first place. with that being said there are only two hood out there that look good on a 2g.

1. a OEM style cf hood
2. the original vader hood (which was discontinued) why oh why?

but i came across this hood and wanted to know if anyone out there is running this style hood and hase some pictures to share. it does not look wild or anything just plain and simple. any one got a pic? what do you think?

by the way do you think if we all got together and asked VIS or whoever makes a cf hood to remake the original vader hood? not a bad idea i say. I think if there were enough interest in that hood a company out there will make one.

I can't imagine why any company wouldn't already be making the invader hood. It's pretty much a given that anybody (at least on this site it seems) looking for a CF hood, would snatch up an Invader hood like no ones business.

As for the other hood you posted, it looks good. I too would like to see a pic of this on the car.

Agreed. I like the hood to be discreet and functional. Somebody needs to bring the original Invaders back.

allright, i wrote to a couple of carbon fiber hood manufactures and now i am patiently waiting for a reply. i asked if they would consider making the original vader hood or something similat to it. lets hope they consider. (fingers crossed)

Have you been following this thread at all? They are looking into making the Vader hood (the one on the white car). If you look at the thread, it's the one on the list titled "2g Vented hood from other thread."

nope i must have missed that thread. how long ago was it? what are the prices? so far most of the thread is a list.

i just want to know if anyone out there is going to make it and when it is available?

Well, the thread started 8 days ago. It is an interest list start by HiRev Performance as to what carbon fiber pieces we want made. They do a lot of good carbon fiber pieces if you haven't heard about them. The reason most of the thread is lists is that the point is to add your username under the section you're interested in. This way, they can see which parts have the most interest. There is no price or release date yet, but they're talking with their suppliers about some of the parts already (with the hood being one of them).
