Anyone seen this interesting set-up?

I was cruisin' around recently and found a blue TSi, he said he was stock except for intake we go from a roll he beats me, I find something wrong with this picture because of my mods.

Me and a friend check the front, there is TWO stock 2G Intercoolers...SEPERATED! One intercooler is on the passenger side and the other is on the driver side and they are hooked up...I didn't think this was even possible. How would it work?

He has more on there than intercoolers. You were played. I'd guess at least a 28.

It can be done but it wouldn be worth it. There would be so much flow restriction that it would negate the cooling effect. He had more than he said done to that car, but the only real way to know is to find him and ask.

I noticed in your mod list your only running 11 psi. Isnt the factory setting at 13? Maybe he had upped his boost and you have yours turned down

maybe it was an automatic and the intercooler on the driver side was actually the stock transmission cooler.

I read about someone doing that "dual" stock IC mod before, but like Defiant said pressure drop city there. That guy had to be boosting pretty high to pressurize all that plumbing.

i looked at your mod list and you dont have much done, i think a stock TSI or slightly not stock TSI beating you from a roll is normal, remember he has like 400 300lbs or something less unsprung weight then you, dont worry about it. One thing that might help you is cranking that boost up to 15 psi, no more then that though.
