4G63 4G63T 2.0 DOHC Timing Belts & Bearings KIT Mitsubishi and Hyundai
and while reading a few threads on here I came across this kit from drivewire...
My only question is how is it the complete kit with a and b belts and idler and tension pulleys is under $100... yet the same brand (contitech) has another kit thru the same site that comes with only the a belt and two idler pulleys and its nearly $200?
heres the link to that one:
DriveWire - 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX 4 Cyl 2.0L Timing Belt Kit
Im pretty sure now Im just more confused then ever on what to go with... Id like to save a few dollars if possible which is why Im looking into kits... I dont know when the idler or tensioner pulleys where changed last so I figured I might as well change them out while Im in there... the A belt was replaced less then 5k ago but I had to take it off to get my head off so I figured replacing it was the safer choice and I have no idea when the B belt was changed last either... (i only have had the car 2 months andd it was only working the first 5 days ;] )
I hear constantly GO OEM GO OEM which is fine, but like even brands like dayco claim to be oem spec and supposedly contitech is the oem supplier for mitsu anyways?
If anyone has purchased a kit and had good experience with what they got feel free to comment and let me know where you picked it up from! thanks I hope to be able to come to a decision by later this afternoon so I can get the parts in the mail today where Im still waiting on a few things to get here so I can finish up my car (hopefully) and finally be able to enjoy it OUTSIDE of the garage ha
Thanks in advance for anyone who actually replies with HELPFUL information
