Well it's time to smash and burn all bullshit piggybacks and eproms.

Time to get serious, I have a few friends running AEM and love them except for the crap wideband bosh sensor. I like the AEM for it's plug and play, My engine builder is giving me a hard time about the New version of the DFI. It looks really good but, you need to build a flying lead harness lke most witch might not be a bad Idea. After 200K of heat the stock harness is pretty brittle.

DFI guy, please give me some feedback

You can use any wideband you want with an EMS. The Bosch sensor will/would fail regardless of what type of standalone and wideband controller you are using.

wow, thats a really intelligent response. "we threw them away" yes because the AFC is just the greatest tuning tool ever invented. the AEM is by far better than just about any other set up, besides another stand alone, you can get. hmmmm lets see easy to use, plugs into the stock harness, and goes above and beyond any piggy back set up you can find. sorry guys the AFC/Pocket logger combo is almost worthless, sweet your logger says you have knock what are you going to do about it......

Wow... no kidding, unless you work for a competing ecu company and are just trying to give aem a bad name, that was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.... Or unless you were refurring to there wide bands, then I would have to agree, but it is not due to the sensor it is due to the controller that they use.

Anyway AEM's ems is able to read any brand of wide band if you can get ahold of the voltage scale to set it up...this is availible from most of the wide band manufactures. And as far as it being a good system I would have to say that it is excellent as far as cost, ease of install, and tunability. I have personally tuned many very high horsepower cars on this system with great results. However if I had to come up with a complaint it would have to be the fact that they don't have peak and hold injector drivers wich requires the use of a resistor box. Don't get me wrong this setup works very well, but I just don't like the fact that it fires the injectors incorrectly.

If you are looking for the really good system that I can't find one complaint about, check into Autronic...

Regards

I'm agree with you!! I have a AEM on my buddys Celica All-Track and it's awesome, I would like to try somthing diffrent and go with the DFI since Motec is to expensive. I have switched to the Innovative wide band setup :thumb:

Bluemeanietsi, Since you speek for "most of us here" you can keep you afc and your pocketlogger, that shit went out with the beach boys!!!
