Anyone ran this exhaust?

Doesn't look like the piping is stainless though. I have a stainless 3in ebay catback modeled after the N1. Fits perfect and sounds great. I got it for under $200 shipped. Don't know what they go for now since I got it a couple years ago.

As was said. A pipe is a pipe. I have a stainless 2 1/2in exhaust on my civic hatchback that I got for $120 shipped. Again fits perfect with the ebay cat converter that I also purchased at the time.

Well that's the cheaper option. They also offer the exhaust with stainless piping for $435. I just contacted them regarding the exhaust to make sure it is a full 3in exhaust and that it isn't necked down to bolt to the stock cat. I'm wanting to bolt it up to a 3" downpipe. Hell at $435 shipped to the door for a nice looking stainless catback IMHO is pretty good.

On a side note, I appreciate you giving me your review on the N1 style eBay exhuast. I've been taking my time and trying to make sure my exhaust purchase isn't one I regret in the end. I had an APEXi N1 catback on my NA 2G Eclipse...granted it was a quality piece...the stereotypical fart can hanging out the back did slowly but surely become an annoyance visually. Not to mention the endless crap talk I got from others.

Yeah mine does neck down to connect to a stock downpipe. So does my Megan downpipe though.

My exhaust is actually really quiet. But my muffler has a lot of baffling, the grated area that the exhaust flows through is actually necked down as well, I would imagine the resonator is the same way. I like it quiet though.

Not all the eBay exhausts resonator and mufflers are like mine though. Then again not all eBay exhausts fit perfectly either. I wish I could remember the vendor I got mine through.

From the site:
Increased 3 inch pipe diameter
Smooth Mandrel Bends for maximum airflow
Kits includes all hardware: Clamps, Hangers, & Bolts
All bends follow factory exhaust for easy installation

The piping increases to 3" eventually. If you look closely you can see that the straight section is smaller than the piping on the muffler portion. I'd say it's 2.5" up until the S section, then 3". I also wouldn't worry about stainless steel. Some high temp paint will do the same job for much cheaper. The muffler itself is already coated or polished, your paying for SS pipes only.

Another option would be finding the muffler you want and having an exhaust shop install true 3" pipe from the downpipe back. 2-bolt exhaust flanges are fairly common so they should have them on hand, the rest would just be measuring and welding. But unless you want to pay big bucks, you would have to have it made from mild steel. Nothing some high-temp paint can't fix.

Otherwise your looking at paying top dollar for true 3" pipes that bolt right up.

If your going to go the modified piping route, you might as well get a cheap ebay stainless catback and then have an exhaust shop chop and weld the neck down to 3in. And then have them put whatever muffler you want on.

When I feel my exhaust is a restriction thats what I'm going to do. I have a Vibrant resonator and muffler ready to go.
