Thinking of painting my factory 17'' rims black to match the blackout roof color scheme.

Does anyone have some pics so I can check them out and see if they are:thumb: or :barf: when painted.

Will be using duplicolor high gloss black.

Cannot for the life of me find a pic of a talon with factory rims painted.

Yes I have i just recently did it in a very high quality black powder coat it does work good but honestly I would just invest in a set of non-stock rims, the new rims have a good warranty and plus issues usually arise if you prep wrong, or if the surface is not perfect.

Please dont do it. Just keep them as stockers, and really dont do it if your gonna rattle can it.

:hmm: Talons came with 17 inch wheels, Thought they where like the 16 inch ninja star wheels.

I gues its like the eclipse's they 14 inch stock, the 16's ninja star, 16's oz rally edition, 16 stock GST, and the 17 inch GSX 10 spoke.

The ones you got are probably from the AWD TSI.

Just thought I clear this up, like you know. Have fun painting :thumb:

Make you start inside and work your way out, add 4-5 coats pain and same amount for clearcoat. There's sand involved between each coat, maake note of that. If you use rustoleum, they'll come out good by this method.

I was told from an og dsm'r.
