haha don't tempt me! I just took in RP's car and it's giving me DSM nostalgia :coy: I guess I'm just getting my "fix" by working on other people's cars hahaha. Don't worry though, one day i'll be back.

Hey how are you guys doing? I just bought a 1998 eagle talon TSI. I have a big 16 G and the FMIC and all the pipping I was wondering if you had time to take a look at my car and tell me if it's worth doing and work to?

Lol yea it's AWD that's the only way to go. Iv never worked on one of these cars before so I was just wondering if I can get some help I'm use to working on American cars. But if anyone lives close give me a shout I live in garwood,nj about 10 mins from Woodbridge.
 
how much to do a 4bolt rear swap in a 1g? i talked to RP at a a local meet and you came recommended
 
are you willing to come to atlantic county, about 15 minutes outside of atlantic city, i cannot get my gst started. i belive its an electrical problem, dsmlink connects, got fuel pressure at the rail, got spark... i dont no if i have a ground missing or something with the harness, i bought the car a few months ago and it ran then, changed the dash, turbo and almost rebuilt the entire car and now it cranks over combusts but doesnt run. i have a full garage with a lift and alot of tools, just am running out of things to check with this car. :)
 
spark, fuel and compression - that's all you need. Narrow down what you're missing and I'm sure you can use the forums to find out your issue :)

I normally don't do house calls, but will be in touch if I ever go down to AC. I'm close to 2 hours away :coy:

Tom is definitely the right guy for the job, and I'm not advertising my "professional" services, but I'm located in Egg Harbor Township (15 mins outside AC) and I'd be willing to lend a hand in my free time. I'm usually off on Fridays, so shoot me a PM if you need some help. I have tools and plenty of spare DSM parts lying around the garage.
 
When did you move to egg harbor? Last I checked you were somewhere with your girlfriend (fiance now right?) when you had the slowbalt haha. I will definitely hit you up, bro.

Kraig, Jeff (taloon) is a good guy; don't hestitate to trust his advice.
 
nice to hear, thanks tom and jeff, jeff i sent you a pm, the car is in my dads garage in eht. i really could use some ones insight that has an idea of whats going on, lets get in touch, i will be more then happy to supply food beer and cash for your time. i just really need to get past this hump with my car, my weeks already been bad enought i got scammed on this forum out of 700 bucks from some scumbag in florida that never sent my coilovers. put my progress back quite abit with my car. i'm just taking the hit and trying to move on. thanks!
