Hi guys...

Alright I have a problem...The space between the rear tire and the car body is different from the left side and the right side. On the left side I can put about 1 finger in between the tire and the body, but on the right side I can put about 2 ½ fingers!!! I dont beleive it is the shock or the spring that is the problem....Does anyone have had this same problem?

Anything helps.

Thanks

Yep. When on my stock suspension, my car has a serious leftward tilt and turns like a NASCAR champ. (When I forget to turn on the WI, it's just like going to the doctor: turn to the left and cough.) It's a combination of many things in my case: three old shocks and one new GR-2 in the right rear, at least one sagging spring (left front), and a whole bunch of crappy bushings that have seized in different positions.

My advice: get a girlfriend or boyfriend who's a charter member of the "more to love" club.

Are you serious? That sucks...would it help if I put coilovers on your think???

No, he'd look rather weird with large metal springs on his head.

ps. the adjustability of coilovers does allow one to make up for sagging springs, though

I was thinking about changing both the springs are the shocks...I have kyb shocks right now and B&R springs....

Jtoby,

Isn't is best to set up coilovers first by fender gap and then adjust them to the desired corner weights? If you compensate for a crap spring wouldn't that make the car unstable during sprited driving?

The motor's on the left, as has been every driver who's ever been in the thing.

You can only see one side at a time. Put it out of your mind.

Handling stability? Sorry, these are DSMs. Shave about a half-ton off to get stability.
