Anyone else use cone filters on stock 420a intake pipe ?

Had an extra spectre cone filter lying around, so I removed the stock/factory airbox on the 420a and replaced it with the cone filter. It looks kind of neat, not sure if there's really any performance gains, but it does sound slightly more throaty.

Has anyone else done this ?

I don't have an N/A, but I can probably guarantee it's better flowing than the stock filter.

I did when I had my n/a. Didn't notice a difference in power but your right it made a nice sound!

No huge gains, but its easier to clean than a stock air box drop in.

Sorry, What I meant to say was : Has anyone else used cone filters on the stock/factory intake piping on a N/A 420a ? I know everyone uses them on turbo dsm's.

Yeah I did that years ago. No real gain, sounded better though.

Haha I get more than that from my stickers. The greddy sticker alone gives me 37.4 extra hp, and a extra 20ftp torque.

I used to do this all the time. There is no real performance gain. You get the looks and the sound. Furthermore, it can sometimes be a hinderance considering the fact that you're now taking in hot engine bay air as opposed to fenderwell/lower bumper air.
