Cov,
Anyone else have that black glue crap that is streaking down door panels...it is starting to get on the door seal...i have tried lots of thing...rubbing alcohol, bug and tar remover(work best but would take months), knife(would just stick to it), etc...Anyone else have this problem and know how to remove it faster and easier. thanks

A friend's 99 GSX has this problem too. It is that black glue that they stick the plastic to the inside of the door panels with. Her's dripped only when it was hot out as far as I know.

Try some citrus based cleaner. Maybe carb cleaner?

I wouldn't use carb cleaner it would most likey eat your paint, use acriliclyn (ppg blue lable) that acryliclyn wont eat the paint but it disolves the plastic if you do it too much (mainly just the color of the plastic), thats what i used when i got into my door panels. :thumb:

I used Oops. You have to use some elbow grease to get that crap off. Oops can be found in the paint section at Wal-Mart and hardware stores usually. :thumb: It's clear coat safe, blah blah blah. Everytime someone needs some stubborn stuff removed, I act like the spokesperson for this stuff. They really need to make a sticky that says "Use Oops if you need to get stubborn crap off of any part of your car." :thumb:

Go to Walmart, or some other hardware store and look for osmething called Goo-Gone Stuff works great.

Odd, on my 96 the black goop hasnt moved so much as an inch through 100 degree summers in the inland empire....
