i run 440cc injectors with stock injectors and its enough fuel for 500whp. 500cc injectors are good as well, but i dont think youll use them to that extent so the extra expense was stupid in my case. QUOTE]

so do you have to run an extra set of injectors with stock injectors to hold that much hp, or can you just get one set of injectors to handle that. Im still learning about the fuel system and what you really need to do to make it work well....

you run 2 sets of injectors with the portfueler. stock ones for daily driving and large ones for boost.

The 8 injector setup is pretty unique, u really don't have to run extra injectors, but if you want smooth idle and good gas economy the portfueler should do it. Otherwise get some big injectors and something to tune with to make it work. Get the megasquirt, it's almost a full standalone, the more I read about it the more I like it.

the megaswuirt is not for beginners or even intermediate people. its more for advanced people. the portfueler at least comes with a base map loaded by hrc. just because the megasquirt is a standalone fuel management box, doesn't make it better.

thanx Siu....

so will running that setup be able hold 350+hp or around that?? i just wanna make sure im not driving down the road one day and my engine blows up, and i dont really have the cash for the portfueler, atleast not right now

hey jimmy( a little off topic here), but do you have any pics of your star stage 2 install namely the I/C and piping and bottom of turbo where the piping goes to the I/C. I'm buying a star stage 1 and building my own I/C piping and I need some pics for a general idea of how best to route the plumbing.
I already got the BOV,flange, front mount, and piping on the way, gonna be a few weeks on the turbo.
Anyways any good quality pics you or anyone else can send me would be much appreciated. you can either post here(may be helpful to others) or just e-mail to me.

Oh, btw I'm going to document this custom I/C setup so others can benefit from it so of course I'll give credit to anyone who can help.
thanks

if you tune very very well you might be around that, but i doubt it. the 440cc injectors top out at around 20-21lbs of boost on 93 octane. youll need a lot of other mods besides just boost.

Well the only pics I have are on my cardomain site. Cardomain.com/id/jimmy169

Lemme know if that works, LOL, otherwise I'd prob be able to find you some, I'm sure there are some good pictures somewhere on the net, also try 2gnt.

I've been thinking, I'm ganna stop replying to questions since I'm a newbie at all this too, it feels weard for a newbie to answer newbie questions so my question is, is there a way to see who is a professional in a sense and who is just a newbie on this site?

Dayum 350? Thats crank hp, not whp right, LOL. What is that in whp I wonder...

Thanx, thats what I wanna shoot for then, that or 300whp but depends on how much boost it'll take...

well like i said before, pretty much the whole engine is gettin rebuilt, except for new cams, rockers, lasher, etc.... im not doing hardly any top end work becuase i dont think its really neccesary. but the whole bottom end is gettin re-done. and i will problaly never go over 20lbs of boost. but im estimating around 400hp (crank) problaly more around the 380 range. so would that fuel setup be good for this, and how much whp would 380-400hp be, just curious.

I talked to a lot of people about the portfueler, and its a good product from what I've found out. I'm going to probably get one. I'm also looking into the Megasquirt, but thats a stand alone, and you need a dyno to tune that. I don't have access to a dyno anywhere close.

Suiecipse... you need to chill. Your posts are usually no help, they take up space on this site, and almost all of your comments are never appreciated.

I said USUALLY, cause incredibly you actually said something that was informative.

It's true, it wasn't until we busted siueclipses balls about his own posts that he actually started to chill out. Good thing too, the BS was getting old.

Im going to ask you guys to search for my posts on here, then come back and tell my what % of them are nonsense. Search in the Nt and Nt turbo forum.

This thread really isn't about you or your history. The point was you were being a jerk in the beginning of this thread until you got your balls busted because you were running around here like your some sort of admin telling people thier threads are lame or just being a smart ass. The point is you need to respect people as if they were your equal because your no better than anyone else here.

thats interesting because the info ive given in this thread has been more valuable that your opinions. i do respect people. i dont respect people like you who give opinion as fact.

the original question in this thread CANNOT be answered by anyone.

He asked for peoples opinions. Everyone told him that the car needs to be put on a dyno. You said it yourself that this thread can not be answered by anyone to the point of it being FACT. That being said I posted my opinion and my experience. I ran 10 psi before I ran the car at the dyno but that was not for long. NEVER had any problems with it. Most people speak from experience which is how they help others. 10 psi is more than safe with his setup provided there is nothing wrong with his car in which case he would have trouble at just about any psi.

Let us not pretend that you are some oracle of knowlege here. We all know that you can't tune your car and that your having Hahn do it for you in Feb. How can people take your advice about tuning if you don't even do it?

Oh so.. after 3 years of tuning my car im ready for someone else to push it to the next level and I can't tune? Give me a break.

10psi is safe for that setup IF ITS ALL RUNNING PROPERLY! How is he going to know that a second injector isn't firing without a wideband?

James your making 337hp on a 400+hp setup. Hell until you had the portfueler you couldn't even break 300hp. How does that make you an experienced tuner? There are people making 400hp on the 20G with the 420a and they don't even have the portfueler? You say you have been tuning your car turbo'ed car for over three years, yet you tell people on 2GNT that you have been doing it for over 4 years. Which is it? Also every time you post a dyno sheet you tell us it "untuned". How can you be experienced at "tuning" if you never actually have a "tuned" setup?

As for the injector statement, I'm not going to spell it out for you if you don't know.

I'm a bit worried since my turbo kit is star and it's ganna be using the hahn portfueler but from what I hear it's pretuned towards the rich side so I'm thinkin I should be safe during my break in if I boost a bit, i'm thinkin of setting the boost controller to 8 pounds?

As soon as the break in period is done though ofcourse I'll get it to a dyno, I can't wait! :thumb:

:dsm: If you guys have to have someone else build your engines for you, then you should NOT have the right to even tune them as you don't even have a clue of what will
cause it to blow up!!!!! Tuning is EVERYTHING! if you don't even have a clue that stock injectors will only take you so far then stay off the whistle, park it in the driveway so you won't blow it up! There is alot of information here on this board, I suggest learning how to use the search tools to find what you are looking for. All question anyone has about these cars has already been answered. Why invest alot of money just to go blow it up? Why not stay home and enjoy a movie, that's alot cheaper. Point is, ask questions that are valid, QUIT FLAMING on the posts, and use a little common sense, not everybody can run 10's :thumb:
