Driving a car with an aftermarket hood without hood pins is like going around banging every chick without using a condom. Sure it might look a little funny, and it doesn't feel the same, but just think of all the confidence you'll have knowing nothing is gonna happen.
I know a few guys who had hoods fly up on them, including one guy who had it happen to him twice. The second time he learned his lesson and bought a set of hood pins. In most cases if you're lucky it'll only break the windshield. Many times the hood also does a good bit of damage to the roof as well.
I helped a friend install hood pins on his c/f hood. Just be careful and you shouldn't mess anything up.
The only time I think hood pins look bad is when they're the stick on kind :tease:

well alright.. i'm takin all of your advice from everyone and going to buy a set, im not exactly sure what kind or type to go with can anyone post some pic's of a few ?
 
Maybe it's just me but I think first gens with body kits looky fugly. IMO. Flame on. Hood doesnt look to bad though.

my CF hood flew up and broken the windshield, the hood and dented the roof. my new CF hood is pinned down-
