any harm in hot tanking a cyclone intake manifold?

i stripped it down and everything but im not sure about how it might affect the flappers?

I don't know if it would effect the flappers or not but I've read the hot tanking is hard on aluminum parts and tends to pit them. If I remember right jet washing is a better alternative. Of course it all depends on the solution being used in either. From what I understand though, harsher chemicals are used in hot tanking.

Just check and make sure the solution is aluminum safe and it will be fine

yes it will be fine, just rinse it really well after the bath. And for sure check to make sure it is ok with aluminum, some are very aggressive caustic acids, could cause deterioration.

You will be fine, I got my 1g intake manifold hot tanked after a rebuild and it came out clean and spotless

most blocks are AL so im sure its AL safe. my main concern was the flappers and how they are lubricated
