Did you find your GSX on autotrader? If so you just got a sweet ass deal on that ride. I live 25 min away from Round Rock but how long of a ride is that for you.

All we need to decide on is a city and place to meet up. It would be tight to gt everybody from the surrounding areas to do so. I was thinking some where in BR would work. Any suggestions?

BR would be best, I would drive out there DSMless. It shouldn't be to much longer. I found a great one on NOstreetracing.com but someone by the name of force_feed sold it already. Unless force_feed is the guy who bought it. Any who I'm still aggressively on the hunt.

Someone needs to be the head guy to get this setup. Maybe start another thread when the date and location gets ironed out, with a attendance list.

Hells yeah... it's about time... thanks "openoner" for fillin me in on this thread. I'm currently in Lafayette, originally from Loreauville (outside of new iberia). I did the Air Force thing for 4 yrs in New Mexico. that is where i found my baby. I've been into dsm since '02. It started with a ride in a WRX and knew i had to have AWD. and guess what showed up at the lot on base. tuh duh. i do as much work myself as possible.

I've moved back and now i'm working in the gulf. i would love to get out to the track but with a no syncro second gear... kinda pointless... anyways, i would hate to loose a center diff... again!

For the lafayette people, we get together weekly just to get away and shoot the breeze about what we are most passionate about... our cars. Let me know if you want details...

You should pass the word that we are trying to get a monthly meeting going to all of ya ppl. I started another thread on the same topic. It's just more on trying to actually get this done. Baton Rouge is the best central location for all the surrounding DSM's to drive to. The first weekend of every month has been kinda decided the best time to do it. All we need now is to choose a place for the meet. Everyone knows you won't get messed with by the law man if a public parking area is picked. I also pretty sure we won't have any bullshit like ppl cutting up in the parking lot either. It should be a nice turn out if we can get it moving.

i'm the only dsm'er in the group exept for a guy with a stock TSI that has a hard time finding gas money so we rarely see him... various cars are included in said group but if it's agreed that we're haveing a dsm meet with some of the "other cars" included. i just don't wanna show up with a variety and people look at me like... WTF???

the guys i know are enthusiast like me. they love their car but they got respect and love to hear and learn about other cars also. No bull and no trash talk...!

I know what ya mean. I've lived on both east and west coast. Lived 2 years in Jacksonville, FL and 2 years in San Diego, CA. Man being able to be apart of both coast like that is a rarity. I think we would have to take a vote here because I know not everybody gets along with other enthusiast easily. I was under the impression yall had a DSM gathering there. Shit I might even come take a ride that way a come chill wit yall. When do yall meet during the week.

It's Thursday night starting about 7 or 8 pm at buffalo wild wings or hobby lobby parking lot then on fridays. usually to get pumped up before everybody hits the clubs and stuff. if you wanna plan to do that, let me know and i'll pm you my contact info let you know where we are...
