ANTI-LOCK goes on and off

OK here is my deal. I just installed a ABS knuckle on the driver side since the last owner crashed the car and put on a non abs knuckle....before the abs light would stay on all the time since it didnt have a sensor on the left front. However, now that I have installed a new knuckle with the sensor from my local junk yard, the light is off until I drive it for like 10 seconds, then it will come on and stay on...Anyone has any ideas why this might be? Any help is appreciated. THanks

oh, I disconnected the battery also but it still does the same thing..the light is off when the car is still and just turned on...but once I get it rolling the light comes on...
