another turbo question

i found alot of turbo questions on here somewhat like mine, but not quite. Obviously there is a huge spectrum of turbos out there. And to make full use of most of those extensive supporting mods are required (FMIC, boost controller, gauge, injectors, piping, BOV and the list goes on). My question is what turbo or kind of turbo could be used without blowing up the car before those mods are done (except average ones like exhaust, BOV, intake etc)? I understand that full use of this turbo cant be utilized until every mod is done though. I cant only imagine the smartass comments I'll get but its just a question. Thanks for your time.

You could run any turbo you wanted, just as long as you don't run very much boost.

You mean just get a boost controller? Now I know this would be pushing the line but whats the biggest one you could run without a controller

just spend some money and get a controller, or make one. and get a guage with it. it is one of the best first mods to get. besides free mods
