I was wonding whether to get NGK BPR6's or BPR7's...

A long time ago, Defiant said "I'd stick with the BPR6ES, some will prefer the 7s. If you're mostly going to be driving like the rest of us wage slaves, and not spending every damned night at the track, stay with the 6s."

If you could quickly look at my mods and just keep in mind an AFPR and injectors are coming, so I hope to up the boost. I heard somewhere under ~18 psi, 6's are fine, but how reliable is this statement? This is a daily driver and I will go to the track every blue moon... it's not like I'm building a drag car.

Thanks for the help.

I guess every car is different. I tried running 7's and my car didn't like 'em..... Then again, my car is quite picky about just about everything. She likes to keep me on my toes :p

Yea, I hear you on that man. My GS likes 6's better than platinums  ;)

IMO platinums should NEVER be used in a boosted vehicle anyways. They were never made for that.

Take Volkswagon, They have been "long live bosch" since the begining of time, once they outted the 1.8L turbo, the OEM plug was NGK. I have heard the stories on how back in the day to keep ANY bosch plug from fouling out and to keep it working properly, u had to spray the plug with clear coat (so no moister would get in).

Back to the question at hand I know BPR6ES is the hotter plug and BPR7ES is the cooler plug, from what I have ALWAYS read and been told, is that if u can get away with the 7's do so, especially if your car is modified at all, otherwise the 6's will work for a daily driver car

I would use 7's. That is what I have been using for a long time and I think the car runs better with them.
