Okay, yesterday we got a lot done and I'm pleased to say things are coming along great!
Yesterday's work:
Engine: Yesterday's engine work now is pretty much complete. The only thing left to do is fuel delivery and the accessories.
Installed new cylinder oil jets
Installed new oil pan
Installed new turbo return line
Installed new valve cover gasket
Installed all water lines
FSC Removal
Installed the battery relocation kit
Installed Power Kill switch (came out great!)
Installed power and ground distribution blocks (rear)
Installed power capacitor
Installed new fuel pump
Removed wire harness for reconditoning
Cleaned and reconditioned all bolts, hardware and parts
Today we will repair the wire harness. I have been wanting to do this for a while, because this thing was horrible from being hacked with an AFC. When I ran the AFC quite a while ago, I never used the harness extension. Either way, I will be cleaning and soldering all the connections. No more electrical issues.
Also, the plan today is to complete the fuse box relocation in the glove compartment. We will be hacking up all the electrical tape and wire tubing. Once the fuse box is relocated we will determine what can go and what can stay (electrically).
My plans for the week are to do the ABS elimination, rerun the brake lines and install the non-ABS brake proportioning valve.
Also want to get the alternator relocation kit taken care of, but need to get the belt sizing situation squared away.
Here is the most updated list of what else needs to be completed:
In-line dual fuel pump
Relocate the fuel filter
Catch Can install
Translator cockpit relocation
MBC mounting (gotta determine where)
SS wheel stud install
CV Boot replacement (pass side)
Gauge wiring mess!
Fuel Pump Wiring
Intercooler Bar Install (NOS baby!)
Heat coatings and wraps
Clutch and Flywheel
SS Clutch Line
Basic installs.....motor/tranny ECT...
There's a whole list but I'm kinda hung over and will post it up later.
Here are some pics so far, will be sure to post some better ones up. Also, looking forward to a few tech articles.
