I've owned DSMs before (had a 1991 Eclipse GS and 1990 Laser RS-T) but this is my first that I'm going to work on (didn't know much when I owned the others and had no $$). On to the car, it's a 1990 Eclipse GST completely stock that I bought for $600. Supposably it's been rebuilt but currently it's not running.

The person I bought it from said they did a cheap "rebuild" on the block and it ran for 400 miles then quit because of the "alternator." The motor turns but doesn't want to start. They put the motor back in half a**ed (missing bolts, nuts, connectors not connected, vacuum lines wrong, etc). Trying to find what the connectors go to so I have something to start with and about to leave now to get the alternator tested.

Thanks for the welcomes :hellyeah:. LoL I learned patience from setting up saltwater tanksROFL.

Alternator tested bad but I wouldn't think that would cause it not to start (battery is good).

Got the car running last night :D. Was checking the coil pack to see why I wasn't getting spark when I found another connector not connected. Apparently he connected the "Power TR unit" backwards. Plugged it in right and the car fires up :hellyeah:.
