Ok so I don't want to sound like a noob but apparently I am since I can't get this right. I decided to take another crack at a boost leak test today and couldn't build any pressure. I blocked off my mbc, and my crank case recirculation tube (that had some air coming out) but i still couldn't build any pressure. It sounded like air was leaking down by the tester or the turbo. Is it possible for the turbo to leak air without leaking oil? I bought it used last year from a very reputable member on here so i believe it should be fine. There is no shaft play or anything. How should i go about testing my tester? Buy another pvc end cap and plug up the other side and pressure test it? I also think i'm going to try testing from my upper intercooler pipe next time to try and elliminate those leaks first. This is just frustrating, I can replace turbos and other parts but I can't do a simple boost leak test. And it's already dark out so I'll have to try again tomorrow.
