Im not trying to beat the dead horse here... But I have two questions about exhaust.
I want a new exhaust for my car (TSi FWD) But I do not like the looks of the 4-5 inch tip on pretty much all of them being sold. I wish to keep the stock looking dual tip. I know I could always buy an exhaust and weld on a different muffler. But Im a horible welder, and would like somthing right out of the box... Now I did some research and found that Pacesetter MONZA series is dual tipped. But from what I have read, it is sh!t... But I found one other brand that makes a dual tipped catback and thats Bosal. Only problem is that they only make Non Turbo exhaust, and AWD exhaust, NO FWD Turbo. My question is, I recently read somewere that turbo FWD exhausts bold right up to non turbos, so i was wondering if this works backward, non turbo exhausts bolting up to a turbo FWD. Second question is, what are you opinions about the Bosal Exhaust.

Recap:

1. Will the Bosal non turbo exhaust system bolt up to my FWD Turbo?

2. What are your opinions about the Bosal Exhaust.

Thank You

-Shawn

IMO on a turbo car the best exhaust is no exhaust really

but if it helps im runnign a kelter 3" exhaust with no cat seem pretty good to me :thumb:

EDIT: nvm i was thinking of awd and fwd exhaust it shoudl fit...

I think he wants to keep the car street legal, so having no exhaust is out of the question.

As for the exhaust/wanting a stock looking muffler, you could buy any exhaust for your car, then just buy a muffler that you like and put that on instead of the one that comes with the exhaust you purchase.

A NT catback will work since your FWD, they both are the same from the cat back.

I had the exact same thoughts you did, I got mine from a local performance shop (who also happens to support the local dsm club and has a nice shop car). 3" in turboback with a nice stock looking tip. 650 with hi-flow cat and ss all the way back. Couldn't beat that unless you made it yourself. If worst comes to worst, get another muffler that you like, and then have an exhaust shop weld in on for you if you are worried about welds. Look around for reputable shops, and talk to them. :thumb:

I had the same question. I was looking at exhausts yesterdays and they didnt had any for FWD talons, so im like WTF!! So instead of buying the turbo back exhaust for the AWD just buy and exhaust for a N/T and it will work???

thx for ur reply :)

Okay, for 1gs, all fwd exhausts are the same, doesnt matter if they are 1.8 (which is smaller stock piping, 2.0 nt, or 2.0 turbo. As long as its fwd, it will fit.

For 2gs, the CATBACK on all fwds (turbo and non turbo) are the same. They use the same path under the car, and the same hangers.

The awds are the only different exhausts.

Just to make sure there isnt any confusion.

Also on both 1g and 2g, talon/eclipse/laser exhausts are all the same. Only difference again being weather its FWD or AWD.

So I was considering getting the Magnaflow exhaust for my 2G GS-t Spyder but they only make exhaust for the non-turbo's. As I see above you say that the exhausts are the exact same pattern but is it ok to use a non turbo exhaust on a turbo car? Thanks ahead of time.
