another exhaust question

has anybody bought one of the cheap knock off mufflers off ebay like this one

and had custom 3" piping made?
this is what i want to do but im not sure of the outcome.. i really dont feel like spending 600$ on an exhaust system

it probably wont flow as good as other performance mufflers...if your gonna go custom made, make sure the piping is mendrel bent.

i plan on buying the true apexi muffler i was jsut usding it as an example.
will it soudn the same if if get custom bent...and shuld i put resonators in
