alright guys, i've read the boost leak test how-to articles. i bought the machv boost leak tester because i'm too lazy to put it together myself.. i bought the 7 gallon air tank from walmart.

i took off the intake pipe from the turbo, hooked up the boost leak tester, hooked up the air compressor. starting to pump the air and my boost guage wouldn't budge... i'm pretty sure it's a mechanical boost guage. the only other problem i read about in other threads is having a big enough boost leak for it not to build any boost.. but i couldn't hear of any big leaks and the needle wouldn't even budge.

i could really use some help because my car bogs when trying to accelerate and build boost in 4th and 5th. and for some reason my 2nd seems to pull harder than my 3rd.

thanks
andrew

but opening the throttle wouldent fix the problem. all the air being pumped in must be escaping if he is not getting a reading on his gauge i suggest you check all your vaccum lines. i just had the same not to long ago and it turned out to be a vaccum line up by my throttle body.
