I just a question theres a ported 14b on ebay and the guy says the car he got it off only has about 50,000 miles on it a 1g eclipse i was wondering do you guys think its worth $250.00? i emailed him he said that if i gave him that he would stop the auction and it would be mine 250.00 thats for shiping and all what do you guys think

honestly, that is way too much money for a 14b. there is always a gamble attached to buying used turbos, i got a 14b in great condition for 50 bucks in the classifieds on this site. i am currently running it now for the last 3k miles. shop around, you could get a used mhi 16g for that kind of scratch.

I sell my freshly-rebuilt 14B's for less than that....of course, that's when I have cores to build.

I'd pass. It's used; you don't know the history. It could be full of metal, or it could run forever. Just because someone does a little grinding on a housing doesn't make it worth it's weight in gold.



No offense if the seller is on this site, but the ad is a little "busy" and that sort-of scares me off.

NOT worth 250, look around on the dsm boards, you find these and small 16g, and even some evo3s(if you're lucky) for that much. Just gotta catch em at the right moment...good luck

hey , i just went into the classifieds and typed in 14b and there are about 4 or 5 different turbo's to choose from, way cheaper than that. good luck

I have a fully polished and ported 14b with a stiffer wastegate for 300. AND THATS A GOOD DEAL.

Seriously, that is way too much. Like others have said look in the clasifieds and craigs list. They are a dime a dozen. Dont get ripped off. We have to fight too hard to get or keep our cars running.

cough cough rip off. i just got a bare 14b hotside/coldside for $20 and im getting a real evo 3 16g for $100 and almost got a 20g twinscroll for $300 but he wont get back to me.
