I'm building my own exhaust. Going to have it a single peice "hopefully", Mandrel Bent Exhaust with only ONE bend. Just like the Megan Exhaust shown here...

Does anyone know what the angle is? And have a nice ass shot of a 1G with this kind of exhaust? I need to know, so I can figure out what I need to order. I'm afraid a 45 degree angle will be too much. Must exit out of the cutout. I'm also building my own muffler for this exhaust with a 3" in and 3" Out. Going to make my own tip angled to come out of the bumper straight. But need the piping done first.

Looks like a 22deg angle!
Also that angle dosn't look right for a 1g!

that exhaust doesn't look right for any DSM! LOL... But its good for refference. You aren't goin off of the picture are you? I just wanna know if someone knows what the angle is to send the pipe directly to the cutout on the bumper. So there's only one bend total. When I gutted my cat. I was under the back and couldn't belive how much room there was in there, and they made soo many bends to make the muffler come out straight...

Yeah i looked at the pic! It is a 22deg right after the rear end comes out, then about 12" it 22s again to the muffler.

depending on muffler

Two Bends? There's enough room for 1 bend, right after the rear diff, Bend all the way to the muffler.

*EDIT*. Oh I see the megan has two bends! That isn't a megan in that picture. I want to make it a single bend like that picture I posted.

So your saying 1 bend and the muffler will come out straight?

No, I don't want it come straight out. Want it to come angled out, but want the tip of the muffler... or the pipe if I don't have a muffler to be inside the cutout on the talon bumper... Using one single bend. Sorry for confusion.

I was under the car looking at my exhaust and realized that there is plenty of room for it and don't know why it wasn't done like that to begin with.

Ok gotcha!!!! Mine is a 22deg.

Have images?

See how many bends? Mine has more! I want to eliminate as many as possible. I'd like to just run straight back from the DP to the axle, then one bend to the muffler.

Mine has maybe 4 bends turbo back, but can't remember what the bends are. I can find out for you tomorrow in the daylight if you want me to. Also i built mine my self, its not bad at all.

I already have an exhaust... But I didn't do it and I dislike it alot! I changed the muffler out with a Cheap HKS Type... cause it looks and sounds much better. So I wanna work it to where it has the least ammount of bends possible. From the looks of it actually, I think I could get away with two bends, one bend will be barely noticable... Muffler will come out angled but will miss fuel tank all together. My main problem is my cat is the size of godzilla... so with the car lowered, the cat is about 3" from the ground. Just busted a bolt while pulling it onto the trailer.

So, I wanna get a new Stainless downpipe, and make my own DPBack. No Cat. Country requires Emissions, but another country same distance from the nearest major city never asks for it.

After you get the downpipe, it goes straight all the way to the rear end, then there you will have a couple bends around the diff, then to the muffler.

Like This...

Ok... I know thats not possible... Now the question, is are a few very small angles better for flow, than less bigger angles?

so... A couple small angles aren't as bad as that one exhaust up there with the two 90's...

I'm prob going to go straight out, and between the last carrier bearing and the Diff, make the exhaust cut over.... then past the TC angle directly towards the cutout on the bumper... But when it crosses over the driveline, make it a long cut over... So its a smaller bend.

Dude hell yeah, thank you... So your pipes go straight back from the Cat all the way to the Diff, then have a single angle out to the muffler?

Tomorrow, get a photo of the pipes as best as you can, and a good, low photo of the ass of the car. Cause thats how I want mine. I don't know why, I just think that angled exhaust looks hot.

Also, it doesn't hang low does it? And if it does... does it look like it has the ability to be raised up? I'm trying to get some clearance... Everytime I hop on the flatbed, I have to angle it all dirty like cause the exhaust gets caught... my exhaust hangs pretty low...

Photo before the car was lowered!

I dont have a cat but yes it straight back then just the one bend and there might be a real small one towards the muffler(real slight)but i cant remember. It's low but i haven't scraped nothing yet i'll try to remember to measure it for you too.As for pulling it up anymore im gonna say negative on that i have maybe a half inch between the pipe and rear pumpkin.

P.S. I Love the kosei's

Looks to me that if the last bend on your exhaust was a little less you would achieve the same angle as mine.

LOL haven't had those Kosei's for a while. Traded them for some Rota Torques, then traded the Torques for Slipstreams... Then traded them for stockers and a built 6bolt!
