I'm looking into buying a 97 Eclipse GS-T, but I don't know if the guy's lying to me or not. He says it runs mid-high 12s, but I don't know how these cars react to mods so could you tell me if hes lying about the potential of this car. The mods are...
-ported/clipped big 16g
-metal IC piping
-manual boost control w/ all supporting (SAFC, 255 fuel pump, injectors)
-full 3 inch exaust
-ported exaust mani / 02 sensor
-ACT 2600 lb clutch
-Greddy BOV
-air filter
-some weight reduction

he says it runs 12's....you say prove it. Have him show you slips for the car or take it to the track with you there.

Couldn't have said it better myself. :thumb:

Yeah, that set-up is capable of supplying the power to runs 12's, but on a FWD, it's not easy. You would need slicks, an LSD, and a bad-ass driver. I doubt it runs 12's, and if it did, he should have slips. I'll bet that he's guessing his time. I'll bet it's a mid-low 13 sec. car only because of it being FWD. Just my .02. :dsm:
