This questions is more directed to you guys that weld or need pipe. Where do you guys order it from? Any place local or online that is good to deal with?

Im looking for aluminum 2.5" and 3" piping and 3" mild steel pipe.

I will order mine from ACE Stainless (when i need stainless) sometimes J.C. Whitney, and some other place in Des Moines, IA that i forget the name of when i need aluminum.. Or i'll order through vinbrant, but they're overpriced IMO

I have bought from mandrelbends on ebay before. My last piping kit came from another vendor on there, but I can't find him. I only buy aluminized steel piping for my exhaust. It won't rust and its cheaper than SS.

For straight pieces, I just go to Meineke. My last 3" aluminized one was like $30 for a 7ft piece.

Call up a few local dairy farms and find out when they're redoing their pipes. Mandrel bent stainless steel for pennies on the dollar.

Summit had 3" SS j-bends for 21.99, which was cheaper than mild; I used it on a downpipe. Ace for weld-els, great service and prices. Be careful of some e-bay aluminum tubing, some of it is coated inside and outside, which makes it a pain to clean and weld. Some batches also have a lot of impurities.

The cheapest online place that I have found was Global Technology and Engineering. They have everything up to 4" in stock and can make anything up to sewer pipe size.

However, I recently discovered a local place that has a mandrel bender. Sometimes it pays to look locally.

Would you be referring to Auto-Jet? I've bought some bends there for my 3.5'' cat-back and they were easy to deal with.

Thanks guys for the help. Ill be looking into those sites along with the local market.
