So Ive got a fairly new alternator 5 months or so on top of that the cars not driven much at all. so ever since i started to drive my car again about 2-3 months ago Ive been having problems with my battery draining all the time. at first we figured the battery cell was bad so replaced only to have it happen again... we then figured out that the battery we were putting in was the wrong one(at the time we were not plugging in the alternator clip cause that was the only way it would keep a charge.. Ive replaced the battery to the correct one and now i clipped the connector and its reading a little higher but still not anything above 12.2 or so. i had my brother read the battery strength from my trunk as i unclipped the connector after this he had said that while i wiggling the clip to take it lose the voltage was jumping to a solid 14.5 but immediately dropped when it came out or i just let go of it. any ideas from anybody?
