Toronto,
So short after I installed my B16G, EVO III mani, 30" short route FMIC, 2.5" catless turbo back, Hybrid Connection 2.5" O2 housing, 560CCs, 190LP rewired on the 95 TSI AWD my car started to act weird.

At first during winter and when the car was stock my lights used to dim when RPM drops and voltage on my Apexi RSM showed about 12.5V and then when I rev it it goes back to 13.8 after the upgrades and summer weather, no heat shields (I KNOW I KNOW...) I got typical my alternator is dead lights (Brake, Batt, Rad).

So I checked my piggy tail connect to alternators Voltage regulars (5-6 wire plug) and it was cracked (I got the car like that) and very very hot. So I made sure it's tight, ahcked lower stock heat shield back on and let the car cool down, next morning car ran fine and very fast after few pools my Apexi RSM showed that I am running 16V dead on all the time and ALL my power is gone again and I mean it feels worse then stock, my logger batt died and I can't find damn pocket logger software to install back on but here is my questioning.

I know the car pulls timing like MADD now but could overcharging alternator cause such a drastic power loss? Or is there something else I should be looking at after I get my new alternator installed?

Also car runs just like if you unplug the 5-6 wire plug to the alternator now even though it is plugged in...

PS: No boost leaks, brand new exhaust with no leaks, smooth timing curve from 13* to 22 no knock @ 18 PSI 39 lb/min @7000RPM (when it was running normal voltage). Also car still runs stoich.

Do you have a wideband? It sounds like you are running too rich. The fuel pump is flowing a lot more at 16v than 13.5v. Are you running an aftermarket alternator? If so, you may have to go through a few before you find a good one.
