Edmonton,
K so my alternator died twice in one week, i know a guy who reuilds them and stuff for real cheap. so he tests it the first time i thought it was dead. hold load fine, shapes up to be good on the tester. So he decides to take it apart. a metal piece in the middle is not connected anymore. so he puts a new piece in. works fine, until tonight. dead again... im assuming (wont know till tomm) if its the same piece. But this is all after one week i put my h4 conversion in. To put them in all i did was cut my stock plug where the part was diagonal and then plugged the stock piece staright into the H4. Could this be causing a problem? pulling too much juice? also since i did this, my high beam indicator light is always slightly on, and when i flip my lights on its shows my high beams are off when there on, and when i put them on the indicator light doesnt turn off, just dimms to like half on. Anyways...PLEASE HELP! or could this all be some freak accident with the alternator thing, i am sure i can fix the headlight highbeam indicator light by changing the way its plugged in to the opposite side.

you need to put high voltage diodes on the head light plugs.
When I did a H4 conversion on another car I got that problem. Installed the diodes so that the low beams only got juice in one direction and could not backfeed the system. Problem went away.
