Fountain Inn,
While removing the alternator in my 92 talon the heads of bolt that goes through the side of the bracker as well as the nut end of the pivot bolt snapped off. I'm not overly concerned with the bracket bolt that broke off inside the alternator but since the end of the pivot bolt is gone, I can't seem to extract it so I can yank the alternator free. Does anyone have a tip/trick that would work to get this bolt out quickly?

Get an easy out/bolt extractor set, and the according drill bit. Drill out the center of the bolt with the correct drill bit, and then hit the "easy out" bit into the hole with a hammer, and turn it counter-clockwise- it should come right out. I used it on my exhaust manifold studs that I broke off- worked like a charm.
