Alternator Amperage? Please

allright, my altenator went and i need to get a replacemnt obviously. So do i need the 65, 75, or the 90. i got an awd talon tsi 5spd. i dont have any extra gauges, not even a aftermarket cd player, so i just need to know if the 65 or the 75 will work. thanks

Stock is 75 but 90 will work, I have the 90.

well the thing is im leaning toward the 75 because Autozone has em in stock, they would have to order the 90, there wont be a difference in anything will there?

75 is the stock amp for your car.

Only Canadian cars have 90 amp, because of the DRL (daytime running lights) front and back light are on at ALL times.

If you plan to run high power audio systems wait for the 90amps. If not, the 75 amps will be fine.

is the voltage regulater internal or?? my alternator went out a while back so i changed it, and now i have a problem with over charging, three alternators and 2 batterys later i post this

Agreed, stick to at least the 75amp.

well the 65 was the only one ppl around here had in stock, thats why i considered it. But i found a 75 at autozone, after they told me they didnt have it, thanks guys

Every "stock amp" 75amp alt I've gotten at PepBoys and Autozone has tested at 90amps. I'm 90% sure they're all 90amp, just rated differently.
