I haven't started a thread asking a question in a while cause I usually just contact people directly but I'm kinda up in the air thought I would see what people think and what their using pump wise. Originally I was dead set on going with the cam driven Magnus mechanical fuel pump system which is beast and is actually ideal for my app. Two problems with this are one that this system requires for the supply to be close enough to draw the fuel from the cell or tank or what not, and two by the time you get the bracket the pump and the lines your noyt looking at the cheapest setup ever. Now the price I can live with if it were that simple but having to have the fuel supply close enough to the pump that it can work properly is a problem. If you look at people running this system they are mostly drag only cars with cells in the engine bay which are just big enough for a couple pulls at max. My car will be driven on the street and to make things even worse it will be a E85 car.

So with that said I picked up a JMF fuel cell and I"m having it anodized to hold up to the chemical properties of the E85 but now I'm stuck on what pump setup to go with. The goal for the car is idealy over 750whp. I have seen Tim Zimmer at those hp levels max out a dual bosch setup and don't want to have to do this twice. So long rant aside what other setups are you guys running or have you heard of that support these kinda of hp levels ?

Some of the Evo guys are using the MagnaFuel pumps, with the new FIC 2150cc and ID2200 injectors.

They have single electric pumps that support 2000 HP, don't know about cost though.

ya, I was set on the magnus/dvdt bracket and pump setup. But I'm not sure if it is worth the money and complexity.

I'm not familiar with how Tim Zimmer had his pumps setup, but have you looked into running two pumps in parallel? I had my car setup with an intank walbro 255, feeding into an inline Bosch 044, with -6an fuel line to the rail, and I felt it would support me up to 550whp on e85. It would be enough pump to get into the low 10's on E85 for sure with the right turbo, etc. I know of a few local guys with pumps setup in series like that hitting the 10.2-10.4 range with e85 on some older turbo setups, could be going quicker with an upgraded turbo and a little more pump.

Ideally, running the pumps in parallel would be best, the flow of fuel will be very sufficient for what you're looking to do, a mechanical pump would be nice but probably overkill. When I re-do my fuel system I plan on using two Bosch 044's setup in parallel. The trick is making sure the fuel can be picked up by the pump, as you mentioned was your concern. However, it could make good sense to simply use a surge tank, as that would solve all your worries about fuel being fed to the pumps. A walbro intank could supply the fuel to a surge tank feeding two 044's. Chris Lambert just posted his setup like this on dsmlink forums a couple weeks ago. Search "surge tank" and you should turn up some good stuff in one thread.

running 2 bosch 044's to separate rails would be ideal. But since most people don't want to spend the money on AEM or a MUX for Dsmlink, alternatively, running 2 bosch's in parallel with -8an then Y'd into a -10 and then to an aftermarket rail (like magnus or dvdtfab) with some bluemax 1600's or larger would be the max you could probably do on an OEM single rail / engine management setup.

I was wrong Tim said he ran out of fuel at 780whp with one Walbro 255HP in-tank with one Walbro 255HP in-line on a -6AN feed with a stock return. So maybe the simple plan is the best plan with this fuel setup. Especially after checking out these that they sell on ebay cheap

I can take this over to JMF and have them weld it on then anodize the whole thing so it's all black and then mount 2 bosch 044's in there and run seperate -8an lines all the way to a dual inlet single outlet rail.
