alt problem???

I checked my alternator wires to see if the wires were still connected but, I found out that there was a green wire, thin yellow wire, and a thick black cable with a metal cap on it (just like a sparkplug wire) if noone knows what wires and cable I'm talking about than I'll try to take a picture

id get the pic ...but what kind of issues are you having with the alt.?? is it not charging correctly, diming lights ??

I don't think it's charging because sunday I charged the battery at home but monday, I drove it sunday night and monday mourning just fine but after work I had to get a jump start.

The thin yellow and green wires are coming from the harness for the B+ for the alternatror and the thich black cable that looks like a sparkplug wire is coming for harness that plugs into the voltage regulator

Dash warning lights (CE, SRS, etc...) being on are indicators of a dying alternator. Moon roof along with this usually too.

Just get a volt meter and check the voltage at the battery and then the voltage leaving the alternator....It should be putting out like 13.5 or somewhere around there at the alternator... if not then itll probably read the battery voltage which pretty much is a sign of a bad alternator

(this was strange) I reconnected the O2 ground strap on the exhaust b/c I had to take it off to install my 2 1/2 catback exhaust and I forgot about it but now the charging system works fine now, but thanks for anyones help
