Well, I was hearing some grinding noises recently on the front right side of the car. It started getting worse so I took it into Midas today to have them look at it. They tell me both lower control arms on the passenger side are lose and they need to be replaced. I was quoted a hundred and twenty something for one, and three hundred and something for the other! So they wanted some six hundred bucks for the repair! I have a feeling the parts really are pricey, but I'm thinking I'm just gonna do the repair myself. I guess my question is, first... is the problem related to the recall at all? I had the recall done 2 years ago. I'm hoping it is and I can get the dealership to fix it right this time. My second question is, if Satan gives me a no-go, then how hard would it be to do myself? Any help or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks guys.

It's a pretty basic repair. Previous discussions have pointed to Conicelli (alias partznet.com) as having about the best price on the control arms.
