alright guys , my 2g eclipse automatic 1995 fwd

i realised recently its burning alot of fuel and while it was at idle , i pressed too much gas just to show off infront of people , it made back fire hahahaha
anyways its not modified so a friend told me that its something bad
so
alot of fuel is consumed
smell of carbon at idle
back fire comes out

so yeah thats it , anyone knows whats wrong? help please
 
So you're running rich, any glowing manifold/turbo?
How do your plugs look?

When was the last time O2 sensor(s) was replaced? What about your coolant temp. Sensor?
 
uhmm i have no idea what do u mean by glowing - sorry im a noob LOL
and my o2 sensors , coolant temp sensor was never changed since i bought the car ( 6 months till now)
other than that i did all the required maintenece and changed everything so far
for my plugs, i changed them 4 days ago
 
How did your old plugs look though? White? Black covered?

Could be potentially o2 (exhaust leaks tricking o2 to seeing lean, which makes ecu add fuel) stock fuel pressure regulator, coolant temp sensor and so on.

Need to be a little

i let my mechanic change them , donno how they looked like :(
all i know is too much fuel is being consumed + carbon smell + back fire happens
there is no engine check light on and nothing light on...
thats all i know
but i heard my uncle saying , it might be the amount of air and fuel arent equal ?? thats why its happening? ( donno if it correct) just asking it might be true @99awddsm

What spark plugs were used when he replaced them? O2 is to make sure the ecu try's to get that stoich A/F ratio by adjusting your fuel if it's seeing lean. (This just happened to me, massive exhaust leaks before the o2 sensor from head, turbo gaskets, o2 gaskets and caused my o2 to see lean and tell ecu to add fuel... when I didn't need it, and my exhaust manifold/turbo were glowing red from just idle/normal drive no boost plugs were super black rich) as you can tell my stoich A/F was most likely nowhere near where it needed to be.

Have you done a BLT recently?
 
spark plugs were bpr6es ngk ( new one is the same)
( im gna drive it for a while tomorrow and check if manifold and turbo if it glows red from normal drive and idle thanks for the tip)
if they arent glowing red .. what would be the other problems ?
