almost stock turbo laser rs vs. 95 dodge ram

my buddy of mine that i work with wants to race and says that he can beat me. he drives a 95 dodge ram 1500 with the v6 motor. it is a standard and i think he knows how to drive. i know my car will smoke him but since he is talking alot of smack about my car being slow, i want to embarrass him. what kind of boost can i run with my almost stock setup? im getting a boost controller before we go so i can turn up the boost. i am also thinking about getting some et street slicks. tell me what you guys think.

i have a 96 ram with a 360 in it and my n/t eclipse would waste it...you wont have a problem

i tried telling him but he wont listen. he even bet a case of beer on it. so, it looks like i will be getting some coors light. hell ya. i also got a friend of mine that has a 72 monte carlo that runs 7.87 in the 1/8 mile. i told to give me about six months and i will waste his ass too. haha.

i wouldnt go more than 14 psi...and make sure you dont spin too much on launch....you are buying slicks to race this guy? i dunno if id go that far...id just use what i had and make sure i didnt roach the piss out of my tires

no, im not buying the slicks JUST to beat him. im going to get some in the future n e way. so, why not now. the thing is i get paid this friday and i will have about 400-450 dollars to spend on my car and i figured that i can get some slicks for about 300. that will help with my 60' and better ets. n e ideas on what i should get with that money that would benefit me more than slicks? the only mods are got done are the free mods and i got the boost gauge and the a-pillar. im going to definetly get the boost controller with 45 dollars of that and then what else?

save yourself some money and make your own mbc...i hate to see guys buying those..i made mine for like 10 bux..might think about the basics too..KN air filter and stuff...take out your headlight for more airflow if you want to...it can only help and he will look at you funny

im going to go ahead and get the k&n filter. im also going to get the mbc (joe P) seems to be common and works good. me and my boss (the one with the monte carlo) are going to cut a hole the fender well right behind the pass. headlight for better air flow to my k&n. i also custom made my intake too. i need to know if it would be better to get slicks, suspension mods, exhaust or similiar to, etc.

thats what i wanted to hear. bad news though. today at work he told me that he probally wouldnt be able to go friday cause he needs to tag and inspect his truck. does that sound like a lame ass excuse. i think he is scared. he done run his mouth to much for his ass to handle it. we all know who would have won the race n e way. it pisses me off cause we were racing for a case of beer oh well, he will get his sooner or later. he really wont have a chance now. im going to get my boost controller, k&n, and maybe my exhaust this friday.
