Well took the talon back to the track tonight to see if I could run a little better. Here are the results:

60 foot - 1.929
330 foot - 5.668
1/8 ET - 8.855
1/8 MPH - 77.15
1000 foot - 11.492
1/4 ET - 13.800
1/4 MPH - 99.52

Here is the list of what all is done to the car:

1991 tsi awd w/ 116k on the clock

- Eibach Spings (pro-kit)
- AGX Struts
- K and N air filter w/ modded air box
- Hallman MBC set @ 15 psi
- Open downpipe
- Mix of 94 octane with about 2 gallons of 110 octane

This car is sooo fun to drive. I am just starting to get used to driving it. I logged almost all of my runs and everything seems rock solid. Almost zero knock the whole time. Next on the list is a walbro 255, re-wire, AFC II, and 2nd gen MAS :) Low 13's here I come with minimal mods hehe.

Good job. I have had similar succes. My Talon went 13.8 @ 95 with just a clutch, 15 lbs and 3 inch exhaust. The tranny was crapping out on me so hopefull when I get a new one I can get lower time with the same mods.

Ya I need a clutch. My stock one sucks LOL. It's whats keeping me from hitting those sweet 60 foot times.

how hard is it do disscon the downpipe? i think mine will be all rusty...havent looked. and is it hard to get to? i was at the track last night, and i saw a 92 with a few mods runing what i thought to be stock times...FWD...and his times were low15...HIGH 14...

Its not hard at all. Just two bolts, but like you said they are going to be hard to get off. I would shoot them with BP blaster and let it sit over night, then try and un bolt them. Should be easy.

Ya my bolts were a pain in the ass. I used the plasma cutter to get them off haha. I am building a 3" turbo back exhaust right now to replace all the stock crap :)

Awesome Run :)

with a 10$ MBC... and a 3 inch -pressbent exhaust with magnaflow baffled muffler (3")

i ran a 13.5 @ 98.8

and the clutch was done after that night...

now I have lots more mods, and best time since then is a 13.6 @ 95... :-( stupid... but now i have maf-t I hope to hit much better :)

Go to Home Depot, get a 2" or 2.5" diameter steel pipe with threads on the end, about 3" length is good. Get a cap that will match the pipe. Go to an exhaust shop and have them weld it on right after the downpipe. That way, when you want to race, all you do is unscrew the cap and you are running open DP, then you don't have to go around scaring the shit out of everyone when you are just daily driving :thumb: It should only cost you $20-30, free if you can weld.

What engine do you have? Is it a regular 4g63 usdm version with 195hp? And did you have full interior?

I just used WD40 and ended up using a torque wrench with an extension to take off those two nuts coming off the studs on the o2 housing. Couldn't believe how much heavier the stock downpipe + cat is compared to the new one.
