allen head bolts?

Hey i got a low compression test so i decided to unbolt the head and take a look. When i got the valve cover off i saw these strange bolts. they are circular on the side so a socket wont work. They have a hole in the middle that a allen fits into. How do i get these out? I searched and the normal head bolts are 13 mm 12point sockets. these must be aftermarket or something. Is there a tool i dont know about to get these things loose.

also i have another question. I have a ground that is disconnected at least i think it is a ground wire. It comes directly off of the postive battery terminal. It seems to bolt somewhere near the engine block, i dont think it reaches the starter. Anyway i have a picture can someone tell me where i need to bolt this sucker down at?

Those are the stock head bolts. They are 10mm. That ground wire bolts to the transmission. Use one of the bolts that hold the tranny to the block.

P.S. You do know the labor involved in pulling the head off right?
