For the last few weeks usually when my car is just turned on and i drive to work when it hits boost it makes like a air horn sound or like a rubbing sound. its wierd. anyone else ever experience this? need some help

Some more specifics would help. Is your car fully warmed up and at normal operating temp? Also is the sound like air rushing or air horn sound like you said or a rubbing sound? have you checked you intercooler/ air intake piping, my buddy had an injen intake and his was very loud before it warmed up.

its deff. not the "rushing of air" sound from the intake. it really sounds like a air horn sound just not as loud as an actual airhorn. the sound is louder then the intake however.

it happens most when i first start driving, usually when the car is just turned on and i hit boost alittle. but i mean it does it even when its warmed up and ive been driving for 20+ minutes. i notice it alot on left turns for some reason, i dunno.

It sounds like you've got air coming out one of your pipes and maybe vibrating the tubing to make a horn sound. It could also be something vibrating rapidly. Make sure everything is secure and there isn't anything that could be shaking/vibrating together.

The left turn thing sounds like a common sign of crank walk. How is the clutch response? A seemingly faulty clutch is the other number one sign.

Your BOV may be loose on the flange??

Ive had it happen many times. Put it back on but its not tight enough or it had a bad gasket.
Sounds real high pitched, like an air horn... Or it could be any loose pipe, with similar effects. Id check all that crap first.

UPDATE !!

ok so today i threw in new spark plugs, and that didnt work but i needed new ones anyhoe so its all good. Then i decided to jack my car up at work and do some searching... found a damn coupler on my intercooler that looked dryrotted so i took it off and BAM it had a big ass hole in it. problem solved :)

just wanted to post this incase anyone was wondering :)
