So I get the autometer sport comp air fuel guage for my 1990 gs turbo off a buddy of mine says he's not using and i've been searching on dsmtuners all weekend for a way to hook it up. I get power and ground but i just cant seem to find where to hook up the 02 tap. i tried tapping it to ecu pin #4 didnt read doodly squat. i tried tapping it through the "spade" connector on the passenger side like they told me to in one of the threads and it didnt work either. So what i did was just tap it from the blue wire straight from the 02 sensor by the manifold. its werking. but know i have this long ass wire running from the manifold into the car. someone please tell me theres another way or if i connected wrong somwhere. The ecu wire #4 i tapped into was white and there was no wiring running into #3. and the spade connector looked nothing like the one they have vfaqs.

Sometimes those piece of crap t-taps dont puncture the wire insulation very well and you dont get a good connection. try stripping some of the insulation off the #4 white o2 wire and soldering the gauge wire to the #4 wire a few inches from the ecu.
Goodluck

there is a plug/test wire under your passenger side kick panel. You just tap into the plug/test wire. It is way up in there and hard to get to but I promise it is there.

yea thats what i did. I spliced the white wire and i even ended up cutting the wire itself. Still nothin.

I tried that too. The plug/test wire was taped against the harness on the passenger side and it had like a plug on it so I took it off and tried connecting it. It got some other sort of reading because my gauge lit up with all the lights half way and then all the lights would turn off after i turned my headlights on. Thanks for the reply's though.

I just noticed your car is a '90 model. Their ecu pinouts are a bit different. I'm not sure about the o2 sensor though. You might do some research on the ecu pinouts for a '90
