sup guys ive been progressing today with setting up all my gauges, but im getting there im on the last one, and thats the air/fuel gauge. My question is i have a 4 wire o2 sensor, there is 2white, 1black, 1yellow(i think it was). I gotta hook my my gauge up to the "o2 Sensor Signal (High) What color wire is that ?

You tap into the O2 sensor wire at the ECU. On a 1G that would be the white wire at pin 4. There is also a O2 sensor tap over by the heater blower but I don't know if it's on all 1G's
On a 2G NA that would be the white wire with black stripe at pin 30.

for my air/fuel i tapped it under the passanger glove box. If you look on that side there is a big bundle of wire if you find the one female connector that is not used(its up there pretty good) you can tap it there if you dont want to pull out the ecu. I found that way on another website i dont remember where, it seems to work fine.

i was nervous about doing all that ECU crap, so i tapped into the wire that runs across your exhaust manifold... its in that cloth wire.

you for sure DO NOT want to tap into that wire, if im not mistaken it is a shielded wire...not good news.

follow that link buddy...you will be just fine. just make sure to connect the wires securely! solder or use those wire caps where you twist the wire, slip a piece over it then screw the cap on. you dont want these wires coming loose now do you?!?

ok i tried to follow the stupid instructions on that one page, i removed both foot panels on my car and i found the line up of connectors that go to the ECU, i looked at the diagram and everything appeared to be in the correct spot, they said the wire should be green, it was it was green with yellow strip on it, so i cut it and linked my Gauge to it. I got no reading still. My service engine light has been on for awhile for my o2 sensor so ill try replacing it and see what happens. The pic is the row of ecu wires and were i crimped it to.

NOTE: Pic was taken from passanger side

yea, replace that O2 sensor and see if it works. and if that doesnt work then all i can say it to really read those instructions closely. disconnect the battery and pull every single one of those plugs out of the ECU and make sure to look at the plug from the back. like it is going into the ECU. make sure the top of the plug is the top, you can tell by the picture on the link i posted. not to make you sound stupid or like i am second guessing you...but if the O2 sensor doesnt fix the problem then just try and try again with the wiring. its not simple, it took me about 2 hours to make sure i had the exact right plugs and all. i know that it took me too long, but hey...at least i was sure, right? LOL. hope it works man!

Please note DSMhelex im a 420a engine, parts on my car differ from parts on your car, i dont have anything running across my heat sheild... i dont even have a heat shield on my car, Ive tried splicing directly right into the wire next to the O2 sensor, i tried both white wires there is a black and like a pink wire i havent tried.

You could try posting this question in the "Non-turbo Performance" forum; you may get more help there. Ask a mod to move the thread so you don't double post.

All of this for a gauge that is useless. It may look cool, but it wont tell you anything becasue the actuall O2 sensor is narow band and NOT accurate. You could plug it in to your brake pedal and it will be just as functional as the O2 wire.
