I have a 94 Eclipse GS (non turbo)... when I come to a stop my car seems to be chocking for air. I have a Weapon R air intake that was on when I bought the car. The pipe is sucking air like a banshee but something with the air flow meter is screwing it up. When i blow into the damn thing it chokes the engine and wants to die, just as when I make a stop. I think something with my flow meter is wrong; is there any way to either bypass the flow meter for do i need to get a new one?? If so how do I bypass it, or where can I find a new one for a resonable price?

It probably only happens when the fans kick on right? this is a common problem with a hacked air can on NT's. Build a shield, so the fan dont blow air all onto the filter, it'll be all better. or look in my gallery and make a PVC Intake like mine :thumb:

I am not the most skilled person at building a "shield" any suggestions that I could follow? And just so I cover my bases and that isn't actually the problem (fan kicking in) what else would you suggest I consider being the problem? Thanks
