I just installed a SharpHID DDM 9006 5000K HID kit in my Eclipse (stock headlight housings). Everything installed according to plan - I used the "accessory wiring harness" that Sharp offers (a must in my mind and for the price, you can make a wiring harness like this). Anyway, I took the car out tonight to aim the HIDs and I notice that the passenger side shoots light like a beam sorta as if you were aiming a flashlight down the street. The drivers side aims more like a "fan or V like shape" spreading light across the road. Combined, you can definitely tell the difference and it seems the passenger side beam over powers the drivers side fan V like shape. Now I know that since Im using the OEM headlight housings, Ill never get them perfect (like OEM Mini Coopers), but what can be done to make them almost identical?
Also, anyone else out there with HIDs . do you notice that the ballasts like to make some noise? Like a humming sound?
Thoughts?
