A shop not to far from me offers Hella HIDs and install for $85. I was thinking about get 4300k for the headlights and 3000k for the fog lights. Anybody got pictures? Is this brand any good? Is that a good price. I know its pretty easy to install, but I know that its very difficult to install in the fog lights, so I figured I'd rather have somebody do it for me.

My other option is to stick with the stock fog light bulbs and silverstar ultra headlight bulbs. I was considering putting yellow lamin-x on the fogs. Does anybody have pictures of this (especially at night)?

Slightly off topic, how much does it usually cost to have a car buffed? (this place does detailing too)

Thanks guys

I know there are tons of cheap kits out there, but how are the Hella kits? I also want to go to this guy because like I said I don't want to be messing around with the fogs forever. Everybody that changed the foglight bulbs on the 2g said it was a pain in the ass.

it's such a pain in the rear that my driver side fog light is cracked and just filled with water and sand. really, to basically jack up the car (and to make things super easy, remove the front bumper) just in case the bulb comes out? there's more hassle than reward here.

as for to answer your question, I do NOT know about HellaHID's, but the name DOES sound familiar.

I will say this though. you can get 2 HID kits for that price at DDM (or one from SharpHID) and know you'll get quality. The install isn't that hard (well not on the passenger side, the driver side can be a pain).

I know some guys with Hellas, they like them. $85 with install isn't too bad, especially if it is a local business you trust and/or could go back to if you encounter a problem.

Thanks man. Something to consider.

The place does detailing too, how much does it usually run to have the car buffed?
