AGP L1R or Mitsu 20G?

#### it might as well go all out and get the ETE32, about the same price and full boost by 3500OMG not to mention capable of 460whp!!:thumb: give it try and show these cats wats up:D

:dsm:

Have you thought about Forced Performance's sleeper 16G. Looks like a 16g but flows like a 20g. Victor Brant ran a 11.4x with one on a full weight GVR4.

I have a friend selling an ETE-32, less then a year old, he is going BIGGER, not big enough for him.

Not to many have the "sleeper" but they are around. Just call up FP and let them tell you about it. Numbers don't lie, check out http://www.dsmtimes.org/. Do a search, there has been reference to this turbo on other DSM boards.

Give the L1R 12+ years and I'm sure it'll do alot better.

How would it be a sleeper 20g if it had a td06 compressor cover?!?!

It's a Sleeper 16G fellas, not a Sleeper 20G.. and it's a lot more than "just" a 20G wheel in a 16G housing. There is an A$$LOAD of machine work and a custom compressor wheel that goes into those things. And they don't flow like a 20G, they outflow a 20G. Victor with the GVR4 will tell you himself, it hands down outdoes his 20G. If you don't believe me, go over to NABR and read what he had to say about it himself. The turbo is made for the "Stock Appearing" class at the DSM SO, plus it's just fun to tell people that's really just a 16G sitting there.

Back to the original topic though.. I would say the L1R has more potential than the 20G. The Mitsu turbos date back 2 decades, and the technology for it dates back to the 60s.

LOL, I couldn't agree more.

BTW, from what I have heard the sleeper 16g is a hell of a turbo.. And actually now that I think about it, you may want to consider it as well as an option. It should have a little more potential than a 20g, and still look like a 16g (I also believe its in the same price range as the others - 1100)

Otherwise if you are sure you want a L1R or 20g, my vote would go to the L1R. I also believe that it has more potential, just that it has only been out for a year or so....
Just because the fastest streetable DSM has went at least 2 seconds faster in the 1/4 than the new Evo; doesn't mean the DSM has far more potential... Just give the evo time.

Does anybody have the L1R besides Tevenor?

Anybody?

I am suprised nobody has got this turbo yet. $1300 with internal gate. Not bad for 20G power that spools like a small 16G.

I am going to bet that this turbo is a better pump gas performer than the L2R. I think that everybody went with the L2R because it is rather larger turbo that could spool quick. But what they didn't realize is that it is too large to be efficient at lower psi like 15 to 20 psi. This is where you make power on the street with pump gas. The L2R will shine above 20 psi from what I here. Also, I think the L1R is better suited with the 7cm mitsu housings than the L2R.

There is no way to campare the L1R to the 20G because AGP wont say anything about the wheels exept that the compressor is rated at 42 lbs/min. The only way to compare, is enough people get it and go to the track/dyno to see what it can do. Or if somebody gets a micrometer and measures the wheels.

On the other hand you could look at the SBR GT-10. This turbo is probably very similar performance and spool compared to the L1R. SBR is more upfront and says what the wheels are.

Whoh, where did that come from?
