aftermarket master and slave, and line?

After getting my clutch/flywheel done a bit ago, the mechanic mentioned my slave cylinder was going. He also insisted he saw nice aftermarket parts available for our cars, where it was a full replacement master and slave and the connecting line, all as one product... nice billet master, stainless line, etc.

I have searched and have yet to find anything QUITE like that... all I have found was an OEM slave, and a stainless line.

Does anybody know of any nice billet after market replacements for the master/slave/line?
 
I never heard of them.

Just get a regular replacement slave cylinder and a braided line. You won't gain anything using billet except a gain in the cost of the parts.
 
Theres no need for any aftermarket master and slave... im pretty sure he was just trying to husle you...

Plenty of people are doing fine with OEM or autoparts stores master/slave cylinders...

Now the clutch line, yes getting an aftermarket SS line is definetly an upgrade, one that you will enjoy.

I wasn't looking for any gains out of the replacements (aside from the braided line, of course)

I just wanted something a little nicer than the ugly factory master.... and I have to replace the slave anyways, so why not?

The guy had had no way to monetarily gain from telling me about the stuff. He wasn't trying to sell me on it, just saying he saw it somewhere and to look around a little more before I go and buy oem.


Where can I get a cheap oem slave then? And possibly master? I might as well just do it all at once if I'm in there anyways.
 
+1 on the hustle....I personally have never searched for anything after market like that. Mostly because OEM slave and masters is where its at, but the SS line would be a nice upgrade.
 
I should ask again how the guy is possibly trying to hustle me here, haha? He's not selling any of the product... he encouraged me to get all my parts online, rather than through them.
 
Just go though a vendor for your parts.

I want to know where he found these billet pieces. You should ask him to find the site and get that posted on here. I want to see what it is.
 
Extreme PSI is the cheapest and I have gotten my parts the fastest from them. STM took 2 weeks before they even shipped my shit out....never bought from them again after that. They were common things that didn't have to be special ordered either.

But yea....there is absolutely NOTHING to gain from replacing the ENTIRE line with an SS line. The reason you replace the rubber line with SS line is because the rubber line can get soft and balloon out when you push the pedal, which can cause engagement / disengagement issues. Just replace the rubber line with the stainless and call it a day. The hard lines give no flex to begin with, they can stay.
